Lois Edith Wallman, 99, of Spanish Fort, Alabama passed away on May 10, 2019. Born on Thanksgiving Day November 27, 1919 in Burlington, Iowa she was the Daughter of Arthur J. Schuholz and Agnes Johnson Schuholz. She married Joseph Jackson Snodgrass, in Burlington, Iowa, on December 27, 1944 he passed away February 7, 1958. September 2, 1972 she married Clifford Wallman of Yarmouth, Iowa who preceded her in death on December 10, 1995.
Mrs. Wallman was a graduate of Chariton High School and received her advanced degree from Stephens College located in Colombia, Missouri. After her college graduation she remained in Colombia, Missouri in the employ of Stephens College as Assistant Bursar in the school's business office. Mrs. Wallman, later in her career, was a federal employee in both St. Louis, Missouri and in Miami, Florida and then a full time home maker residing in Burlington, Iowa.
Since 1942 she was a member of Messiah Lutheren Church in Burlington, Iowa. She was also a member of Ruth Circle, a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, founded the local Burlington chapter of Parents without Partners and was a volunteer in the church and community over the years.
Survivors include her daughters Lynn Wright of Austin, Texas and Julie Erickson Prall of Hudson, Ohio; a stepdaughter Corrine Roth of Yarmouth, Iowa; a son Joseph Snodgrass of Silver Hills, Alabama; three grandchildren Sinnana Jones, Nichole Wright, Todd Erickson and two great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Wallman will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18th at Messiah Lutheran Church. The Rev. Susanne Smith will officiate. Interment will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
