Margaret Lucille "Marge" Uffelman, 94, of Burlington, died at 6:35 am Monday, July 16, 2018, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.
Born November 13, 1923, in Superior, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of William D. Jr. and Alvena H. Anderson Terry.
She graduated from East High School in Superior, Wisconsin, and then attended Superior State Teacher's College, now known as University of Wisconsin Superior.
Marge worked at the University of Chicago during World War II, where she met her future husband, Roy. She then moved to Burlington in 1946 and worked as a dental assistant and for the Burlington School District as a teachers' aide, retiring in 1984.
On January 1, 1946, she married Roy F. Uffelman in St. Luke United Church of Christ in Burlington. He died March 24, 1990.
She was a long-time member of St. Luke United Church of Christ, the Sarah Circle. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and playing cards.
Survivors include her son, Don Uffelman of Montclair, VA; one daughter, Teri Bjorn of Forest Grove, OR; four grandchildren: Carrie, DJ, and David Uffelman and Kyle Knutson; one brother, Robert Terry; 19 nieces, nine nephews and her beloved dog Jake.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Mildred, Barbara and Roberta, and three brothers: Donald, Merlin, and John.
As per Marge's request cremation has been accorded.
The memorial service for Marge will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 26, 2018 at St. Luke United Church of Christ, 1403 South St, Burlington, Iowa. Burial will be in Aspen Grove at 2:00 PM following the service.

Marge may be memorialized by contributing to the Great River Hospice House or the St. Luke United Church of Christ.
