Obituary

Janice Kay Law, 73, of Danville, passed away from this life, into eternal life with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Jan was born January 12, 1948 to Edmund and Grace Engebretsen in Burlington, Iowa where she grew up, graduated from Burlington High School and lived most of her life; moving to Danville in recent years.
Jan married Larry Dunham in Oquawka, Illinois on March 30, 1968. They were blessed by two children, Kim and Chris. Larry Dunham predeceased her in 1995 after which she was married to Larry Law from 1996-2019. Jan operated an in-home daycare for 21 years, worked as an aide at Burlington Elementary Schools, and retired from the trust department at Burlington Bank and Trust.
Jan loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren, and friends. She loved all animals and would have had a house full if her family would have let her.
She is survived by her daughter Kim (Jon) Hobbs of Danville, Iowa and son Chris (Julie) Dunham of Johnston, Iowa; grandchildren, Luke, Jesse, and Jacob Hobbs and Amara Dunham; her brother Jerry Engebretsen of Burlington and nephew Corey (Jana) Engebretsen of Johnston, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Larry Dunham.
The funeral service for Jan will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 16th at Lunning Chapel. Interment will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed in her name to the Des Moines County Humane Society.
