Edwin “Ed” Charles Krogmeier, 71, of Burlington, died Tuesday, May 3, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born February 11, 1952, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Albert and Darlene (Hester) Krogmeier.
Ed worked for C & E Mattress Factory for over 30 years until its closure. He was of the Catholic faith.
Ed enjoyed playing pool and played for many area leagues. He loved watching sports and coached little league softball for a few years. He was a loving brother and uncle. His family was very important to him.
Survivors include his two sisters; Sharon (Terry) Wiley of West Burlington and Cindy (Wayne) Bowen of Burlington; brother Gary (Dale) Krogmeier of New London and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Georgia McCollum and two brothers, Danny Krogmeier and Eugene Krogmeier.
A family inurnment will be held on Monday, May 8th at Aspen Grove Cemetery. Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
