Obituary

Mrs. Marcia Kae Conn, 58 of West Burlington, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at her home. Born April 13, 1956 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Dwain L. and Betty J. (Hippe) Roth. On March 5, 1977 she married William "Bill" Conn in Burlington. Mrs. Conn was a 1974 graduate of Burlington High School. She was a cook at the Truck Stop and at the Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Conn was a member of St. Luke United Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and cars. During high school she was active in both softball and track and had been a semi pro softball player. Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Conn of West Burlington; one brother, Philip K. (Pam) Roth of Burlington; one sister, Dianna (Jim) Green of Silver Springs, Maryland and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday, March 21st, at Lunning Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society. Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel. [more]
