Alberta L. Brehm, 92, of Burlington, passed away at 8:50 AM Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the Great River Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born December 2, 1926, in Hannibal, MO, she was the daughter of Albert Benton and Lula Addine Epley DeLong. On September 4, 1955, she married Stanley Lyle Brehm.
She attended Eugene Fields School in Hannibal, MO.
She was a nurse, a member of the Mission Circle at First United Methodist Church, volunteered at Burlington Care Center for twelve years, was an avid reader and enjoyed movies.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Mitchell of Mediapolis and Peggy Turner of Dalton, GA; three grandchildren, John (Polly) Kephart of Georgia, Michele (Brian) Ferguson Clarke of Illinois, Katie (Michael) Clark McRoberts of Minnesota; eight great-grandchildren, and cousin, Dan and Joyce Brehm of Burlington, IA.
Besides her husband, Stanley Brehm; she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Penny Clark, and two grandsons, Timothy and Jeremy Kephart.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2019 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The Graveside Committal Service for Alberta will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2019, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Rev. David Bracht-Wagner officiating.
