Obituary

Carol Marie Grubb, 86 of Mediapolis died at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Azria Health Prairie Ridge, where she was currently residing.
Born October 31, 1934 in Berwin, IL, she was the daughter of Charles Melvin and Caroline Dorothy (Schneider) Landstrom. She married Earl Allen Grubb June 24, 1954 in Macomb, IL. He died December 28, 1967.
Carol was of the Lutheran faith.
She worked at the Home Interior factory.
She enjoyed gardening and loved animals. Carol was always an independent and very generous person with a great sense of humor who loved helping her neighbors and lived for her animals.
Survivors include one brother, Charles Landstrom of Burlington; her longtime beloved friends, Kathy Schlag, Kathy Breuer, Barb Brobston, and Tracy; three dogs, Muffin, Dolly, and Millie; five cats, Daisy, Sassy, Smokie, Little Dink, and Mollie; and one bird, Cody.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Donald Landstrom, a step-sister and all of her animals over the years.
There will be no formal funeral services for Carol. Inurnment will be held at Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date. Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
