Obituary

Harold "Ed" Edward Jones, 76, of Burlington, died at 5:27 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born May 21, 1925, in Burlington, he was the son of Daniel and Minnie Luth Jones. He married Carolyn Schilb on March 1, 1951 in Galesburg, IL. Mr. Jones was a graduate of Burlington High School and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a carpenter all of his life, retiring in 1990.He was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Daniel Jones of Milan, Ill., and Ronald Jones of Burlington; four grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Leroy Jones of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. The funeral for Mr. Jones will be at a later date. Lunning Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
