Harold "Squirrel" Brandon, 74, of Burlington, passed at 8:43 AM Sunday, October 4, 2020, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Harold Leon Brandon was born on November 29, 1945 in Mobile, Alabama to the union of Sadie Mae Sims and Leroy (Moley) Brandon Sr. now deceased. From this union Six children were born. Harold was the fourth oldest of the siblings. He moved to Burlington, Iowa in 1989 and married the love of his life on August 11, 1989 Debra Willis.
He attended Detroit Public Schools.
Harold worked at Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, MI and later Chrysler Stamping Plant. He enjoyed his job in housekeeping at Great River Medical Center until he retired.
He received Christ at an early age and joined Mt.Zion Church in Mobile, Alabama. Upon coming to Detroit later he joined Calvary Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching sports. especially the Lion's. He loved everyone, especially his grandchildren, and was always there if you needed him. He loved Tupac and other music.
Survivors include wife, Debra Brandon; eleven children, Antonio Brandon, Martinez Wyanna, Halrina (James) Wyanna-Jackson, D'Angelo Willis, Kelly Willis, Troy Willis, Derick Willis, and Tyron Willis, Gina, Shalina, Constaina and Paris Wyanna; 36 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Venessia (Ricky) Brandon of Detroit and Lucy (Jimmie) Williams of Detroit; two brothers, Leroy (Patricia) Brandon, Jr., of Kentucky and Douglas (Joann) Brandon of Detroit; and all of his nieces and nephews who were very special to him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Nina Brandon, one son, Angelo Brandon, three brothers Leroy Jr, Benjamin, and Alex Brandon, and one sister Lucy Williams.
Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from until Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mr. Brandon will be 1:00 PM Friday, October 9, 2020, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery
