yris Dean Rankin was born sleeping on Friday, April 5, 2019, in Carthage, IL.
He was the son of Jason Rankin and Elizabeth Morrison.
Survivors include his parents, Jason and Elizabeth; brothers, Jordan K. and Lane X. Rook, Eli J. Gerst, and Corbin R. Rankin; maternal aunts and uncles: Hannah G. (Ruth Shallcross) Boyd, Hunter Boyd, Peyton Carter and Jennifer Leis; paternal aunt and uncle: Patricia A. (Tom) Patterson; maternal grandparents, Bradley Boyd, Erin (John) Krueger, and Billy (Tasha) Carter; and paternal grandparents, Kelly (Danny) Knotts and Russell (Annette) Rankin.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Faye E. Boyd and Francine E. Wasik.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.
The Graveside Committal Service for Syris will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. Those wishing to attend the service will meet at the Sunnyside Avenue gate prior to the service for a procession to the gravesite.
