Lois Margaret Zahn, 74 of Wapello, died at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Morning Sun Care Center, where she was currently residing.
Born December 3, 1947 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, she was the daughter of Baker and Ruth (Moeller) Cope. She married Albert Levi Zahn November 20, 1967 in Moline, IL. He died July 24, 1998.
Lois was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Luke United Church of Christ.
Her hobbies included playing Scrabble, table games and Solitaire, reading books, camping, riding motorcycles, watching T.V. Land, and old westerns. She loved her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include seven children, Patrick (Marsha) Zahn of Middletown, Tammy (Mark) Gardner of Wapello, Debbie (Ron) Deen of West Burlington, Teresa (Carl) Bennett of Orange Park, FL, Donna Zahn of Eastsound, WA, Sandy Zahn-Harris of Cedar Rapids, and Regina (Paul) Buhs of Cedar Rapids; twenty five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three siblings, Sybil Jo Price of Beebe, AR, Eleanor Larte of Mesa, AZ and Lamar (Sandy) Cope of Riverside, CA; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
There will be a graveside service 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8th at Aspen Grove Cemetery. Pastor Peggy Stott will officiate.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
A memorial has been established.
