Dorean Wilson, 85, of Burlington, died at 11:28 PM Monday, January 13, 2020, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born September 22, 1934, in Keokuk, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Rosie Lee Sewell Bramlett. On March 20, 1978, she married Kenneth Wilson in Chicago, IL. He passed May 5, 2000.
Dorean was a wireman for General Electric for 27 years. She then worked at Blackhawk Elementary School as a lunch lady.
She was a graduate of Keokuk High School.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church Full Gospel Fellowship where she served as an usher. Dorean enjoyed collecting dolls, playing BINGO at the Eagle's Club and was a member of NAACP.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Heidi (Tim Lane) Wilson of Atkinson, IL; two grandchildren, Jason Beam, Jr. and Jasmine Beam both of Atkinson, IL; brother, Gilbert Bramlett, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; and niece, Angie (James) Organ of TX.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Vernell Bramlett; and one son, Allen Crowson.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Friday, January 17, 2020, at Union Baptist Church Full Gospel Fellowship.
The funeral service for Mrs. Wilson will be 1:00 PM Friday, January 17, 2020, at Union Baptist Church Full Gospel Fellowship with Reverend Lawrence L. Manson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held at Union Baptist Church Full Gospel Fellowship following the burial.
In lieu of flowers. a memorial has been established.
