Patricia Joyce Williams, 92, formerly of Burlington, died at 4:45 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at the West Point Care Center.
Born February 11, 1927, in Burlington; due to the untimely deaths of her parents, Delbert and Alice Messmer Green, she was raised by her maternal grandparents, Cora and Andrew Mesmer. On January 18, 1947, she married John E. Williams in Burlington.
She was a bookkeeper for multiple businesses in Burlington throughout her career and retired from Winegard after 15 years of service.
She was a graduate of Burlington High School.
Patricia was of Christian faith. She loved coffee and ice cream, her cats, dogs and flowers. She also enjoyed spending time on the Mississippi River with her husband before his passing. Most recently, Patricia enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the West Point Care Center.
Survivors include her three sons, Steve Williams of California; Chris (Brenda) Williams of Burlington; and Mark (Sheryl) Williams of West Point; twenty grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends whom she adored.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Dan Williams.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, Monday, November 25, 2019 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home, 3940 Division St., Burlington, IA.
The graveside committal for Patricia will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 25, 2019, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Mr. Ralph Holmstrom officiating.
A memorial has been established for the West Point Care Center Activity Fund.
