Bradley E. Smith, 61, of Middletown, died Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Burlington.
Born July 5, 1960 in Burlington, Iowa he was the son of Elmont Eugene and Wanda A. (Strahn) Smith. He married Tina Lundeen in 1981. They later divorced, but remained life long friends.
Brad was a graduate of Burlington High School and attended First Christian Church ~ Disciples of Christ. He loved fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and NASCAR fan and his favorite place to eat was Napoli’s.
Survivors include his three sons; Casey (Amanda) Smith of Dewitt, Iowa, Caleb (Katie) Smith of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and Andrew Smith of Davenport, Iowa; two grandchildren, Adrianna Smith and Carter Smith of Dewitt, Iowa; his mother, Wanda Smith of Burlington; four brothers, David (Laura) Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, Gary (Kay) Smith of New London, Iowa, Steve (Shari) Smith of West Burlington, Iowa, Mark Smith of Burlington; one sister Lynette Phillips of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his father Eugene Smith.
The funeral service for Brad will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 17th at Lunning Chapel. The Rev. David Yonker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
According to his wishes, cremation will be accorded following the funeral service. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
