Norma Jean Perron, 87, of Burlington, passed away at 8:57 AM Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born December 6, 1931, Iowa, she was the daughter of Raymond D. and Martha "Mattie" Johnson Malcom. On January 17, 1951, she married Charles Robert "Bob" Perron in Oakville, IA. Bob passed away on May 17, 2018.
Norma worked retail at JC Pennys.
She was a 1949 graduate of Oakville High.
Norma enjoyed fishing with her good friend Nell, socializing, dancing, playing cards and bingo. She loved traveling, especially to Branson. Norma was on the Casewives bowling team and several mixed leagues.
Survivors include four daughters, Loretta (Marc Olson) McDaniels, Rae Nebergall, Kim Peterson and Roberta "Robbie" (Chuck) Timmerman all of Burlington; eight grandchildren: Kelly Corwin-Curry, Jamie Corwin, Jennifer Corwin-Hall, Andy "Neb" Nebergall, Josh Peterson, Robert Peterson, Jeremy (Ginny) Timmerman and Cassidy Timmerman; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne (Mary) Malcom of Camanche, IA and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Norma was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, one son-in-law, Joe Nebergall, and two grandsons, C.J. Timmerman and Josh Hall.
Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Norma will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Williams officiating. There will be a joint burial for Norma and her husband Charles "Bob" 10:00 AM Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Great River Hospice House.
