Obituary
Wayne W. Brewer, 82, of rural West Burlington, died at 7:10 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2004, at Sun Care Center.
Born Jan. 13, 1922 in Lockridge, he was the son of William and Hazel Milan Brewer. On April 24, 1946, he married Mildred "Mille" L. Pendleton in Burlington.
Mr. Brewer was a truck driver and supervisor for Winegard Co. for 30 years before retiring in 1984. He was an army private during World War II and delivered supplies to the front line in Europe.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed cooking and photography.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rosalie Dean of Morning Sun and Roxann Reeves of Floresville, Texas; two sons, Roger Brewer of Northglenn, Colo., and Ronald Brewer of Mount Pleasant; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one brother and one sister.
There will be no visitation. The body has been cremated.
The funeral for Mr. Brewer will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Betsy A. Lee officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington.
Memorials have been established for Morning Sun Care Center and Disabled American Veterans.
