Vivian Bonita Boyer, 98, of Muscatine died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Lutheran Homes.
Born July 31, 1906, in Burlington, she was the daughter of William L and Lillian Margaret Brown Schwarz. On June 2, 1926, she married John Olson. He
died June 29, 1943. On Dec 24, 1949, she married Gilbert Boyers He died Dec. 24, 1986. Mrs. Boyer worked at the Iowa Ordnance Plant in Middletown
until her retirement at the age of 62. When she was in her 80s, she organized a kitchen band. Her favorite pastime was making quilts, which she enjoyed giving away. Every Friday she visited the nursing home, taking residents cake and ice cream.
Survivors include one daughter, Lorraine Bras of Muscatine; three grandchildren; six great-grand-children; six great-great-grand-children; two brothers, Frank
Schwartz and Charles Schwarz; and one sister, Frances Brown. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser St., Muscatine, Iowa 52761.
The funeral for Mrs. Boyer will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ralph J. Wittich-Rile -Freers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Sebeniecher of New Hope United
Methodist Church officiating:
Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established.
