Mr. Sumter Boullemet Calvert, 86, of 253 E. Eighth, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at Burlington hospital, after a long illness. Mr. Calvert was a pioneer in industrial and educational motion pictures, many of which are used in schools today. He had his own system of instantaneous sound recording on film. A native of Mt. Airy, Md., he was born to William and Cornelia Boullemet Calvert. He was married Oct. 15, 1908, at Burlington, to Haidee Tyrford. Mr. Calvert was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. For many years he was a resident of Chicago.His wife survives. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Prugh's chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
