Ronald "Andy" Anderson, 55, of 2010 Vogt St., died at 11:47 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center. Born March 31, 1934, in Walnut Grove, Ill., he was the son of Stewart L. and Ethel Lepp Anderson. He married Mary Bowman, May 12, 1956 in Dallas City, Ill.
He was employed as a technician with J.I. Case Co. for 30 years. He recently received the "Master Inventor" award, one of just 12 who has been so honored by J.I. Case International. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He was a graduate of Dallas City High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Randy Anderson, Davenport; one daughter, Mrs. Rhonda (Kurt) Meier, Davenport; his mother, Dallas City, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Jean (Andrew) Olson, Dallas City, Il; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel. The service for Mr. Anderson will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Norm Wenig officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the First Assembly of God Church.
