Robert H. Briear, Jr., 75, 902 S. Central, died March 10, at Burlington’s Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Briear was born Oct. 25, 1895, at Keokuk, the son of Robert and Mina Jo Johnson Briear. In August of 1950, at Mt. Carroll, Ill., he married Florence Tague. He served with the Navy during WWI. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the VFW.
Surviving: His wife; two step-daughters, Mrs. Maude Martin, Chadwick, Ill., Mrs. Carmen Hall, Burlington; a brother, Charles Briear, Burlington; a granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: Friday, 2 pm Prugh’s Chapel, Rev. John Vickers; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Briear was preceded in death by his first wife, Arena, and two sons, George and Robert.
