Robert Dean "Bob" Crawford, 61, left this world at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Bob was born on October 29, 1954 in Winfield, IA. The son of Dean R. and Vada M. (Fetters) Crawford.
He attended Burlington Community High School, graduating in 1974. He was the plant manager of Riley Paint for 43 years.
Bob loved to golf, spend time at the cabin, play cards, drink Busch Light, and Rum and Coke with his friends and family.
He married Denise Gibson Knouse in 1974, they later divorced. He married "his girl", the love of his life Twyla Marie Burgus May 6, 1995.
He is survived by his wife Twyla; two sons, Eric (Kendra) Crawford of West Burlington and Troy (Tamara Morris) Crawford of Burlington; three sisters, Carol K. Haas of Burlington, Elaine Beauchamp of Des Moines and Sharon R. Crawford of Burlington; one brother, Steven C. (Laura) Crawford of Stronghurst; three grandchildren, Blaise Morris of New Orleans, LA, Brennon Morris of Moline, IL, and Taylor Morris of New River, AZ; 26 nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews; two great great nephews and brother and sisters-in-law.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, Jeff Piper, father-in-law, James Burgus, maternal and paternal grandparents.
The funeral service for Mr. Crawford will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 21st at Lunning Chapel. The Rev. Jeff Kodis will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20th at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m.
A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice House.
