Richard Beal, 60, of 1107 ½ Vine, died at University Hospitals, Iowa City, 3:59 pm Friday, April 19.
He was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Medford, Ore., to William and Marie Mautley Prouty. He was an Army veteran of WWII.
Surviving: two children, Becky Beal, and Jeff Beal, both of Burlington; three stepchildren, Terry Beebe, of Gulfport, Tracy Beebe and Sherrill Beebe, both of Burlington; one sister, Dorothy Dotson, Medford, Ore.
Services will be held in Lunning Chapel at 10:30 am Friday, the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with Military Rites at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the chapel Thursday evening between seven and 8:30 pm.
