Mr. Raymond O. Edwards, 70, of 530 S. Ninth, died Wednesday in Mercy hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born here on Feb. 18, 1892, the son of James and Hattie Otten Edwards, and married Barbara Budierus. She is dead. Mr. Edwards was a retired Burlington railroad shops machinist. He was a member of Zion united Church of Christ, the Eagles lodge and the Railway Veterans. Surviving are two children Raymond Frank Edwards and Mrs. Earl Yager, both of Burlington, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The body is at Prugh's chapel.
