Raymond E. "Ray" Boyd, 63, of Gulfport, Ill., died 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 1988, at his home.
Born Feb. 20, 1925, in Fairfield, he was the son of Raymond and Edna D. Daily Boyd. He married Linda Penrose in Burlington. He worked for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company before retiring. He was a member of the BPOE No. 84, Ed's Cascade Hunting and Fishing Club, Ducks Unlimited, and NRX He was a Protestant.He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Surviving are his wife and one stepson, Mark L, Murphy, rural Burlington.
Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Prugh's Chapel. The service for Mr. Boyd will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Richard
Gilbert officiating. Burial' will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
