Paul Edward Snyder, 66, 606 Harrison St., died at 2:52 pm Friday, Feb. 1, 1991, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born May 6, 1924, in Burlington he was the son of Fred and Florence Nelson Snyder. He married Alice Mansheim on Sept. 20, 1947, in Fort Madison.
He graduated from Burlington High School in 1943 and served in the Army Air Corps in World War II.
He was a pipefitter at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant for more than 30 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, FOE Lodge no. 150, Pipefitters Local 212, and the American Association of Retired People. He was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Daniel E. Snyder of Burlington; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen(Jerry) Keimig of Stronghurst, Ill.; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Doris(Bill) Ware of Brandford, Fla.; four brothers, George Snyder of Ft. Madison, Larry Snyder of Omaha, Neb., Wayne Snyder of Burlington and Robert Snyder of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several neices and nephews.
The funeral for Mr. Snyder will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Louis Mulligan officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call after 8 am Monday and from 7 to 8:30 pm at Lunning Chapel.
