Obituary
Mr. Malon Everett Jessop, 85, of 206 Spring, died at Burlington hospital Saturday at 1 p.m. He was born May 28, 1880 at Floris, Iaa., the son of Jacob and Jane Patterson Jessop. On Jan. 5, 1902, at Ottumwa he married Alice Marshall Stamper. She died Jan. 7, 1961. He was a retired farmer and for over 50 years was a member of the Salvation Army. Surviving are: three children, Mrs. Myrtle Cole, Donphan, Nebr., Clarence Jessop, 1748 Weimer, and Mrs. EVelyn Galbraith, Ft. Smith, Ark.; and a sister, Mrs. May Walker, Ottumwa, 17 grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren. Four brothers, four daughters and four sisters died earlier. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Lunning Chapel, Capt. Billy Parker officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove.
