Loyd E. Dietsch, 66, of Burlington, died at 5:28 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 2002 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born Dec. 12 1935, in Burlington, he was the son of Dewey and Lena Moyers Dietsch. On Aug 15 1980, he married Frances Arlene Blessing in Burlington.
Mr. Dietsch worked in maintenance at Dial Corp. in Burlington for 26 years. He retired in 1995.
He was of the Lutheran faith. He was a Korean War Army veteran, serving from 1953 until 1957 with the rank of field sergeant.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Patricia Christensen of Burlington, Tina Reynolds of Huisington, Kan., Connie Smith of Finlayson, Minn., and Dawn Stevens of New Market, Ala.: two sons, Steve Fletcher of Champaign and Bryant Dietsch of Burlington; 21 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one brother, Alfred Dietsch if Milan, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
