Lesley James Evans, 59, a former resident of Burlington, died Sunday in Baptist hospital, Oklahoma City, Okla. His home was at 3622 NW 42nd St., Oklahoma, City. He was a former vice president of the old Iowa Soap Co. Mr. Evans was born Oct. 1, 1906 at Freeport, Ill., the son of Charles and Lillian Evans.He was connected with the sales department of Agee Product's Co. of Oklahoma City. He was a 1930 graduate of the University of Iowa and was of the Presbyterian faith. Surviving: the widow; son James Evans, Columbia, Mo.; brother Charles Evans of Burlington; sisters Mrs.William Strait of Detroit and Mrs. Buryl Hamilton of Dimmitt, Texas; a granddaughter and his mother, Mrs. Lillian Evans Geiger of Detroit. Services: Prugh's Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m.. the Rev. Roscoe M. Wolvington, Aspen Grove cemetery.
