Leslie E. Ehret, 47, formerly of Burlington, died at his home in Moline, IL., Sunday after an illness of five days with pneumonia. Mr. Ehret was born in Lincoln, nNeb., March 16, 1889, the son of Amanda and William Ehret. He was married to Miss Marie Ingersoll at Burlington March 26, 1917. He was cashier at the Burlington Route offices here 20 years. With his family he moved to Moine in 1930 and except for a short time had lived there ever since.He was employed by the Green Transfer company at the time of his death. Mr. Ehret will be missed by many friends in Burlington and the Tri Cities. The former Burlingtonian was a member of the United Presbyterian church in Moline; Turners society there and the Harden Masonic lodge in Keokuk. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Marie Ehret; one daughter, Colleen, 17, at home; his mother and father; two brothers, Samuel C. and George R., and Mrs. Ehret's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Ingersoll, all of Burlington, and one sister, Mrs. Rose Hinsey of Fort Collins, Colo. A twin sister, Jessie, preceded him in death. Funeral services wil be held at Prugh's chapel in Burlington at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday with interment in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body will be brought here shortly before the services.
