Joseph G. Hogberg, 76, of Fisher nursing home, New London, died at 3:15 a.m. Monday, July 26, at the nursing home. He was the father of Wayne Hogberg, Burlington city councilman. Mr. Hogberg, a member of the Moose , Eagles, and charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, was born Jan. 12, 1895, in West Burlington, the son of Herman J. and Charlotta Hogberg. He marrie Zoe Lynch in Kahoka, Mo., May 18, 1940. He was a machine operator at Schramm & Schmeig Glove factory many years and later worked at the Advance Ross company. Surviving: Three sons, Harold, Austin, Tex., Robert, Wever, and Wayne, Burlington; two step-sons, Gilbert Lynch, Dallas City, Ill., and Raymond Lynch, Englewood, Colo.; twelve grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Hegberg, Monmouth, Ore. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday; Prugh's chapel; Aspen Grove cemetery; Rev. Clyde L. Norrgard.
