Obituary

Joseph F. Junker, 65, of 763 Whitewood St., died Saturday, Dec. 3, 1988 at Burlington Medical Center. Born July 13, 1923, in Burlington, he was the son of Fred C. and Grace Sutcliff Junker. He married Martha Vorwerk oct. 16, 1947, in Burlington. He was a retired S.S. Gray Iron foundry foreman, West Burlington. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Eagles Lodge and American Legion. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Ron Junker, Roger Junker and Randy Junker, all of Burlington; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Katherine (William) Scully, Torrence, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel, with the rosary service set for 7:30 p.m. Monday. The service for Mr. Junker will be 10 a.m.Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Albert Hauser officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for St. John's Catholic church.
