Jonathan R. Edwards, 42, of Guttenberg, Iowa, formerly of Burlington, died 3:23 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg. Born November 16, 1970 in Raleigh, North Carolina, he was the son of Eldon R. and Betty J. (Rhyne) Edwards. He loved music, traveling, the holidays, and his family. Survivors include his mother, Betty Edwards of Burlington; three brothers, Michael A. Edwards and Mark A. Edwards both of Burlington and Matthew L. Edwards of Oquawka; and one sister, Diane A. (Brian) Gibbs of North Liberty. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be from noon until 7:30 pm today in Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 pm.
The funeral service for Mr. Edwards will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 20th at Lunning Chapel. Pastor Mark Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established..
