Obituary
John Glahe Brockhagen 1408 Harrison, manager and secretary of the Southeast Iowa Motor Club of the AAA for the past 16 years, died at his home at 7:05 pm Wednesday. He had been in failing health for several months.
He was born in Hope, Idaho, the son of George and Anna Smith Brockhagen, and came to Burlington when he was two years old. Prior to his association with the AAA, he had been associated with the Hawkeye Motor Company.
He was widley known sportsman and had many acquaintances in his hunting and river boating activities. He was a member of the Elks, the Izaak Walton league and the Cascade Hunting and Fishing club.
He was married to Margaret Koestner in Galesburg, Ill., Sept 23, 1929.
Surviving are his wife, a sister, Mrs. Ed Dehner, Burlington, a nephew and a niece.
Services will be held in Prugh’s chapel Friday at 2 pm. The Rev. E William Strauser will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
