Services for john Engel, 93 of 1519 Thul, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Prugh's chapel , the Rev. M.E. Lehmann officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. Engel died at St. Francis hospital at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday following a brief illness. His wife was the former Minnie knoehr whom he married in Burlington on Oct. 28, 1901. She preceded him in death. Also dead are a daughter and several sisters and brothers. Engel was a charter member of the Burlington Moose lodge and its oldest living member. Surviving are four daughters, Margaret Engle, at home, Mrs. C.A. McBrien and Mrs. Flody C. Shaffer, both of Burlington and Mrs. Bertha Sharpe, Omaha, Neb. seen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Christine Mutzi, South Bend, Ind.; several nieves and nephews.
