Jesse J. Schmidt, 64, West Burlington Rt. 4, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, while working at Zaiser's Sunnyside Florist. he was born Sept. 20, 1907, in Burlington, the son of John and Ollie Mccarty Schmidt. He married Martha Chapman Feb. 19, 1948, at Davenport. He was in the Army in World War II. Survivors: Wife; three daughters, Mrs. Karen Christner, Burlington, and Mrs. Marjie Binn and Mrs. Donna McDonland, Mountain View, Calif.; brother, Roy Schmidt, Burlington; parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt, Burlington; foster sister, Mrs. Muriel Herin, Burlington; and eight grand-children. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, Prugh's Chapel, Rev. Walter Lack; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
