James Garrett Brissey, 70, of 115 Kroeger, died at 10:15 pm Saturday, June 20, at his home.
He was born Jan. 6, 1900, in Plattsmouth, Neb., the son of William Franklin and Minnie Anthony Brissey. Feb. 20, 1921, in Burlington, he married Ruth E. Bigle. She died May 25, 1962.
Mr. Brissey, who worked at the Burlington Railroad shops, was a Past Master of Masonic Lodge AF&AM. He was a member of First Methodist church and IAM Local 531.
Surviving: One son, James E. Brissey, Burlington; three brothers, Albine and Leo, both of Burlington; Robert, Nebraska City, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary(Elmer) Brown, Burlington, Mrs. Mary Mason, Plattsmouth, Neb; and three grandchildren.
Funeral: 10:30 am Tuesday, Elliott-Lunning Chapel, Rev. Henry Hackman; Aspen Grove cemetery
