Jacob John Heck, 93, of Burlington, died Friday, Nov. 7, 1997, at his daughter's home in Union.Born Aug. 3, 1904, in Burlington,he was the son of Louis and Mary Inez Heck. On Dec. 25, 1963, he married Alice Curtis in Washington, Iowa. She died April 17, 1988. Mr. Heck worked for the city of Burlington in the street department for 35 years.
He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and was a World War II Army veteran.Survivors include one daughter,Judy Dudley of Union; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren. The funeral for Mr. Heck will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Sheeks officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Riverside Baptist Church.
