Jack Roger Engle, 48, of Burlington, died at 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at his home.Born July 16, 1951, in Burlington, he was the son of Jack D. and Betty Jane Orton Engle. Mr. Engle ran a handyman service. He was a member of West Hill Methodist church and the Eagles Lodge of Burlington. He enjoyed water skiing, skydiving and hunting. Survivors include one daughter, Mindi Koenig of Burlington; one grandson; three sisters Linda Bevis of Ankeny; Bonnie Morgan of Sheboygan, Wis. and Connie Wiegard of Ottumwa; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.There will be no formal visitation. The body has been cremated. The memorial service for Mr. Engle will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Benjamin officiating. Private burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
