Hilmer Erickson, 52, of 416 Hageman avenue, life resident of Burlington, died at his home this morning, just one day after his 27th wedding anniversary. Mr. Erickson formerly employed at the Burlington Route shops as a blacksmith, had been in failing health several years. He last worked at the shops in 1922, and had been employed there 22 years. He was born here April 1, 1883, the son of Charles and Sophia Erickson. He was married Sept.30, 1908, to Julia Gillberg in Centerville, Ia. Surviving are his widow, four children, Carl, Norman, Bernice and Louise. all at home, and two brothers, E.G. Erickson of West Burlington and Carl Erickson of Lowell, Ind. Services will be held at Prugh's chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Mr. Brumfield will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The Body is at the chapel.
