Harry Herbert Pyle, 79, of 2907 Madison Ave., died at 2:50 a.m. Monday, May 6, 1991, at St. Lukes Hospital in Davenport. Born Sept. 19, 1911, in Hale, Mo., he was the son of Calvin Daniel and Mollie Lee Craig Pyle. He married Minnie Josephine Peterson March 6, 1937, in Burlington. He attended Burlington High School and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He had worked for RIley Brother Oil Co. and had operated Pyle Engineering Co.,retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Moose Lodge, Kaaba Shrine and American Legion and wa a 50 year member of the Des Moines Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 2. Surviving are his wife; one son, Michael Wayne Pyle, Burlington; one daughter, Karen Leasure, Cupertino, Calif.; and four grandchildren. A Masonic rites service will be held at 7 p.m. today followed by the family receiving friends until 8:30 p.m. The service for Mr. Pyle will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Donald Hoornstra officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital and Messiah Lutheran Church.
