Marine Cpl. Gregory Mark Miller, 22, a Burlington native, died Saturday, July 2, in his barracks at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Marine Corps officials said Tuesday that Miller apparently died by asphyxiation after vomiting while in his bunk. An official autopsy result is due later. He was born May 12, 1961, at Burlington, to W. Arthur and Virginia Musholt Miller. He was a 1980 graduate of Notre Dame High School and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Surviving: His mother, Mrs. John (Virginia) Bras, Burlington, father, Albert City; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Musholt, Quincy, Ill.; five brothers, Walter A. Oquawka, Ill., J. Glenn, rural Burlington, Richard, rural Donnellson, Kent, Danville,and Jerry at home; five sisters, Barbara Dunkin and Karen Miller, both of Burlington, Judy Kuisle, rural Burlington, Maureen Burgus, West Burlington, and Kathy McDonald, Schenectady, N.Y. Funeral is pending at Lunning Chapel. Services will be at St. Patrick church, the Rev. Vitold Valainis officiating. marine military rites will be at graveside at Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established at the church for Notre Dame tuition fund.
