Obituary
George F. Eggleston, 76, former resident of Burlington, died in Sacred Heart hospital in Fort Madison at 7:30 o'clock this morning following an accident in which he received a number of injuries. Mr. Eggleston moved away from Burlington thirty years ago, but still has a number of relatives and friends here, several of the former having gone to his bedside after the accident. Mr. Eggleston was riding a bicycle on the streets of Fort Madison and the front wheel of his bicycle collided with an automobile truck. Mr. Eggleston was thrown to the pavement receiving the injuries which later cost his life. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lora Eggleston Schneider, of Fort Madison, two sisters, Mrs. Walter Haskell, and Miss Frances Eggleston of Burlington, and one brother, Fred Eggleston, of Los Angeles, California. Other relatives in Burlington include Seth, Francis and Edna Eggleston, and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Eggleston. Edna and Seth have gone to Fort Madison and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Eggleston planned to go down sometime today. Funeral services will be held in Fort Madison at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery here.
