Funeral service for Edward(Ed) Baumberger, widely known local confectioner and tavern proprietor, will be held from St. Paul Catholic church at 9 am Saturday with interment in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Baumberger, a life resident of this city, was born Oct. 8, 1866. He resided at 17011/2 Osborn street. He had been in failing health for the past two years.
The Burlingtonian was married to Anna Lambertz Nov. 17, 1897. He was a member of St. Paul church, and of the Eagles and Red Men lodges, being a charter member of the latter. He also was a member of Hawkeye Natives' society.
Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard Schmidt of Ft. Madison, Ia.; a brother, TH Baumberger of Los Angeles, Cal.; three sisters, Anna and Hattie Baumberger of Burlington, and Mrs. Frank N LaPoint, with of the city finance superintendent, Burlington, and two grandchildren, Bernard and Ann Mari Schmidt, Ft. Madison.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:00 from St. Paul’s church, preceded by short services at the residence at 8:30. Interment in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
