Obituary
Fred John Boeker, 79, of 1329 Griswold Street, died at Burlington Hospital Tuesday at 4:45 pm after an extended illness.
He was born in Des Moines County, Feb. 12, 1867, the son of Ludwig and Maria Poggemiller Broeker, and in 1891 married Lena Lamkin in Burlington.
He was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, one brother, Charles; one niece, Mrs. Lula Schramm, all of Burlington; one nephew, Chris Lemme, Burlington, who was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Broeker; and several other nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Prugh’s chapel, Friday at 2 pm Rev. Alfred Bernadt will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
