Fern Ethel Brandau, 88, of Burlington, died at 4:30 pm Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at Danville Care Center.
Born June 25, 1915, in West Burlington, she was the daughter of John H and Mabel E Dodds Miller. On June 18, 1944, she married Robert Brandau in Burlington.
Mrs. Brandau was a homemaker.
He was a 1933 graduate of Danville High School. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing doll clothes and her children’s clothes, traveling, and winter in Florida.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters LaDonna Putnam of Burlington and LaRee Godes of DeWitt; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 8 am to the time of services Saturday, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service.
The funeral for Mrs. Brandau will be at 1:30 pm Saturday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Forrest Kremmel officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
