Mr. Emil Henry (Pete) Gerdom, 70, of 2045 Highland Ave., died Thursday in Burlington hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1893, in Burlington, the son of John and Caroline Moehlman Gerdom. He married Ella Berg in Burlington on May 18, 1920.Mr. Gerdon had been employed at Acres Blackmar Co. for the past nine years. Previously he had been a buyer for Blaul's for 45 years. He was a veteran of World War i, a member of First United Church of Christ, United Commercial Travelers, Izaak Walton League and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife; two daughters,Mrs. Maxine Manard and Mrs. Eleanor Roberts, both of Burlington; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Willaim Thie and Mrs.Milton Blaul, both of Minneapolis, Minn. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in First United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body is at Prugh's chapel.
