Elmer LeRoy Brown, 69, of 139 Greenbriar Drive, died at 12:25 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 1991, at Burlington Medical Center's Klein unit.
Born Oct. 29, 1921, in Burlington, he was the son of Elmer S. and Alice Marie Brissey Browns He married Alice R. Griffith April 5, 1941, in Burlington. He was a 1939 graduate of
Burlington High School and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was employed at J.I. Case Co., retiring with 41 years of service. He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, United Commercial Travelers and the American Legion and was past president of the Burlington Bowling Association and past member of the Elks Lodge.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Dennis L. Brown, Naperville, Ill., and Randall M. Brown, St. Paul, Minn.; his mother, Burlington; one brother, Roy E. Brown, Burlington; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Lunning Chapel.
The service for Mr. Brown will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Chris Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the Parkinson's Disease Foundation and Bethany Lutheran Church.
