Edward J. (Eck) Eckburg, 77. suffered a fatal hearth attack at his home at 1908 S. 15th St., at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10. The son of Carl and Anna Gustafson Eckburg, he was born June 28, 1899, in Burlington. He was a retired moulder at Burlington Foundry Co. Surviving: Sister, Elizabeth E. Bachmann, with whom he made his home; and niece and nephew, Margaret Kennedy and Leonard Eckburg, both of Burlington. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Prugh's Chapel, Rev. Gilbert A. Saathoff; Aspen Grove cemetery.
