Edward Ernest Gerdner, 72, of Ft. Madison Road, Rt. 1, died Wednesday at 5;30 a.m. in Burlington hospital. He was a farmer and truck gardner. Mr. Gerdner was born Jan. 12, 1885, in Concordia township, the son of Henry and Fredericka Gieselman Gerdner. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Methodist faith, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Blackhawk Hunting & Fishing and Burlington Sportsman's clubs.Surviving: A brother, William of Denmark, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie F. Traman and Mrs. Lydia Peterson of Burlington. His parents, two brothers and a sister are dead. Services: friday at 2 p.m. in Prugh's chapel; Aspen Grove
