A Carl Leopold Memorial fund has been set up by the industrialist's family for distribution of the late Aldo Leopold's book "Round River" and "Sand River Almanac." Contributions to the fund will be accepted instead of flowers, if friends or relatives so desire. Services for Carl Starker Leopold, 68, Leopold Co. board chairman, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The Burlington industrialist died at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Mercy Hospital. He had been a patient there since May 15. Leopold had headed the desk-making company since 1914 when his father died. A former director of the Iowa State savings bank, he was the first president of the Burlington Rotary Club. His wife was the former Dolores Bergere whom he married in 1920 at Santa Fe., N. M. She died two years ago.
